PROTEX INTERNATIONAL announces its development withe the acquisition of the Northern Speciality Chemicals Company in Woonsocket (Rhode Island, USA) during the summer of 2011.

SYNTHRON, subsidiary of PROTEX INTERNATIONAL andt NORTHERN SPECIALITY CHEMICALS will share their know-how within their respective laboratories, in order to develop new products. The activity of NORTHERN SPECIALITY CHEMICALS was recently transferred to Dudley in the Massachussets wher the MACE POLYMERS & ADDITIVES industrial site is located. The products which will be manufactured there will be sold by NORTHERN SPECIALITY CHEMICALS in the USA and in Canada.

RINGIER AWARDS

Modarez® X : SYNTHRON, subsidiary of PROTEX INTERNATIONAL received the Innovation Award in the Additives category, on the occasion of the 8^ème China Coatings Summit, which was held in Shanghai on 14 and 15 June 2011, where the « Ringier Technology Innovation Awards 2011 » took place. The Modarez® X series, wetting agents substrates, was chosen by a independent jury for the technical excellence of these products, which provides an important contribution to the paint industry in China. The Modarez®X are wetting agents substrates for systems in aqueous and solvent mediums, that improve the spreading and adhesion of paints and inks, on difficult surfaces such as plastics or certain metals. The range includes the Modarez® X 073 for paints and varnishes in solvent phase, the Modarez® X 074 for paints and inks in aqueous mediums and Modarez® X 043 and X 840 for paints in solvent and aqueous mediums.
