This diversification enables the group to grow in numerous areas through cross-fertilization. Whenever possible, an innovation for a specific application is developed into other areas.
Several examples illustrate perfectly this development of the Protex International know-how. The products developed for the textile industry treat cotton, which is a cellulosic fibre. As paper is based on cellulose, it is judicious by analogy that Protex diversifies its products into the paper industry.
Similarly, detergents used to wash fabrics opened the way of production of chelating agents used in household washing products. The same concept applies to the paint and building industry.
